Things always seem to go wrong in your home. When it is something so bad that you can’t fix it yourself, you need to hire a professional to make the fix.
Hiring contractors can be a huge risk, though. Who do you trust to come into your home?

When you hire a plumber, for example, make sure to check and make sure of these things, including making sure that he has contractors insurance in California.
- Water damage is extremely costly – make sure your plumber is doing what he can to prevent future damage as well as fixing current problems.
- Ensure that you will have a licensed contractor with California contractors insurance working on your home. If your plumber has an apprentice or helper, make sure they will be supervised at all times.
- Before you let a plumber into your home, ask them if they will clean up the mess they make. Don’t be surprised with this after the fact!
- Make sure that the person you hire will let you know what they are doing. Ask for an explanation on the parts they are using, and have them let you know if your input is needed.
